New estates
Piara Waters is new cars — which means EFB and AGM
Nearly every car in a new estate has stop-start, and stop-start does not run a conventional battery. It needs an EFB or an AGM, matched to what the manufacturer fitted. Put a standard flooded battery in and it will be flat inside a year — the single most common mistake we're called out to correct.
The driving pattern out here compounds it: 5 schools inside the suburb boundary, short runs with the air-conditioning working hard, and the engine cutting at every set of lights. That is the hardest life a starting battery gets.
We keep both EFB and AGM in the common sizes, so a job here doesn't turn into an order and a three-day wait.

Batteries in Piara Waters
Battery replacement in Piara Waters
Piara Waters is one of the newest suburbs we serve — five schools built inside a few years, and estate streets running off Armadale Road and Nicholson Road. New suburb means new cars, and new cars mean stop-start, which means EFB or AGM rather than a standard battery.
The driving pattern here is the hardest one a starting battery gets: a couple of kilometres to school, a couple more to the shops, air-conditioning working the whole time, and the engine cutting at every set of lights. We keep both EFB and AGM on the shelf so a Piara Waters job doesn't become an order and a three-day wait — and it's only 12.8km from the counter.

Piara Waters FAQ
Common Piara Waters questions
Do you deliver batteries to Piara Waters?
Yes. Piara Waters is 12.8km from our Maddington warehouse — about 15 minutes via Warton Road. There's a small delivery fee outside our three 5km free zones (Canning Vale, Maddington and Fremantle), or you can collect from the counter and pay the straight warehouse price. Call 08 9451 4048 for the exact figure.
My Piara Waters car has stop-start — do I need a special battery?
Yes, and it matters. A stop-start car needs an EFB or AGM, not a standard flooded battery — fit the wrong one and it'll fail inside a year, often outside warranty. Piara Waters has a lot of newer vehicles on the road, so we keep both EFB and AGM in the common sizes. Give us the rego on 08 9451 4048 and we'll confirm which of the two your car actually takes before you buy.
Why does my battery keep going flat in Piara Waters?
Usually short trips. Piara Waters has 5 schools inside the suburb, and a school run plus a few kilometres to the shops never puts back what starting the car takes out — so the battery slowly discharges until one cold morning it won't crank. We'll test it and the alternator free. If it's just undercharged we'll tell you that rather than sell you a battery.
How much is a car battery in Piara Waters?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from Piara Waters?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 15 minutes from Piara Waters, straight down Warton Road, about 12.8km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in Piara Waters?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in Piara Waters we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
Do you cover all of the City of Armadale?
Yes. Piara Waters is one of the City of Armadale suburbs we run to, and we deliver across the whole council area — residential, trade and fleet. If you're on the boundary and not sure, call 08 9451 4048 with the street and we'll tell you straight away whether you're inside a free-delivery zone.
